Influence of the internet in lifestyles in the past 20 years
Students will be able to write a micro-paper about the change of some cultures after technology.
Week 3: Participatory Literacies
PARTICIPATORY LITERACIES: As Roccanti (2014) said: āParticipatory literacies refer to a variety of social practices which have evolved around the use of new media technologies in networked culturesā So the students will make different tasks where they will realize how technology have changed different practices and need the help of other people in order to get them.
Step #1: You are going to research in academic documents information about the change of 3 specific cultures of the world (influenced by technology).
Step #2: then, you have to reach in virtual spaces people from these cultures and interview them asking for specific practices that have changed because of technology
Step #3: Later, you have to redact a micro-paper where you make an analysis about it.
This analysis have to answer the following questions
- how was that culture before the influence of the technology?
- How the technology changed some practices?
- how they perceive the change?
Step #4: Finally, Make a video with information of the paper and images of those cultures. Upload it on a social media.
