Week 1 - Digital Literacies

Students will be able to infere information through digital literacies to inquire about changes in expressing opinions

DIGITAL LITERACIES: digital literacies are related to the way people uses digital technology to create communication, and also the ability to understand and use the information in multipĺe formats in order to perform tasks effectively in a digital environment. Our students will research about the topic, not only through social media, but also understanding from people’s behaviour on virtual spaces.

TASK:

Step #1: You should investigate on social media, how people react to world wide events or news and how people express their opinion. Whether if they prefer a particular social media or not. Also, how they express through these in terms of the language, intentions and content they use.

Step #2: Then, you will investigate how people, in the mid 80’s, reacted to similar events or news, what did they used to do? How was their opinion expressed? You are going to interview their parents or other adults to do it.

Step #3: Later, you will analyze all these information making a contrast between those generations concerning world wide news focused on the kind of language, content and intentions that are used.

Step #4: This analysis will be shown through a vlog, no more than two minutes, where you will try to blend, in a creative way, those two realities.
